Thomas Finley

FINLEY, Thomas “Tom” Born Jan. 17, 1936 in Sioux City, IA, passed away Jul. 18, 2014 in Bellevue, NE. Tom graduated from UNO in 1957, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha and Omicron Delta Kappa fraternities. He taught at Bellevue College from 1987 – 1993 and earned his Master of Science degree in Human Resource Management from LaSalle University in 1997. Tom enjoyed life to the fullest. He took great pride in having been a volunteer at the Henry Doorly Zoo for 19 years. He would take snakes and other small animals to the classrooms in the Omaha Public Schools. The Ozarks and Branson, MO were Tom’s favorite vacation destinations. Preceded in death by his parents, Cline & Olga Finley; brother, Charles Finley. Survived by his wife, Elsa; son, Steve (Tricia) Finley; daughter, Julie Monaghan & Jeff Hansen; grandchildren, Chris, Tabitha, Melanie & Mary.
