James Thomas Lore "Jim"

LORE, James Thomas “Jim” Age 74 Formerly of Orange County, CA Palm Springs, CA and more recently of Omaha, NE passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017.He was a graduate of San Jose State University and worked for 30 years in finance at GE.While living in Omaha he attended St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.He loved to golf and loved the ability to live on a golf course in beautiful Palm Springs after retirement…He was the type of person people gravitated to because everyone couldn’t help but love him, he had a sparkle in his eye even cancer couldn’t burn out.Everyone remembered Jim.He was known for his infectious sense of humor and smart wit along with his fabulous sense of positivity.He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Anne and George Lore.He was a beloved father to his children, sons Michael and Christopher and daughters Courtney and Megan.He was also a beloved grandfather to his beautiful grandchildren, Aiden(9), Jackson(8), Colton(5), Lily(1) and Everly(1).He is also survived by his brother Glenn Lore.A “Memorial Tree” and plaque will be planted at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Omaha, NE in his honor with a private family blessing/service.A Celebration of Life will be held in Carmel, CA at his favorite golf course, Pebble Beach, in early March…All family and friends are welcome; further details to come.Our family would like to express our sincerest thanks to the wonderful care provided to James at UNMC Buffett Cancer Center and especially Dr. Julie Vose.If desired, friends may make contributions to UNMC Buffett Cancer Center, Omaha, NE in Jim Lore’s name.
