Yvonne Margaret (Anderson) Kamphaus was born to John and Isabella Anderson on November 5, 1945 at Western General Hospital in Edinburgh, Scotland. She was baptized in St. Andrew's Church.
In 1962 she graduated from Secondary School. From 1962 - 1967 she worked for the British Government as a bookkeeper. From 1967 - 1970 she worked for Central Meat Market as a secretary.
On May 16, 1970 she went on vacation to Germany where she met her future husband, Michael. On July 16 & 17, 19709 they were married in Fuldatol, West Germany.
In September 1970, they moved to the States. Yvonne couldn't believe the town of O'Neill was so small. Michael showed her downtown and the next day she said, "OK the joke is over, now show me the rest of the town." Yvonne worked in the house while the kids were younger and then worked at Brodkeys Jewelers. In 2004 they retired and moved to the South for several years. She enjoyed traveling and loved to cook.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Michael; her daughter, Lisa (Eric) Smith, son Callan (Fiance Kimberly Sims) Kamphaus; grandchildren Jordan Ernest and Caleb Smith, Stephaney Eatherton, Camrey Muir; and her sister Jacqueline Munro, along with many brother and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Iza Anderson, son Cameron Kamphaus, brother Edwin Anderson and many brother and sister-in-laws.
Visitation: 5pm-7pm., Monday, January 27, 2025 with Rosary starting at 7pm. at Braman Mortuary Millard Chapel. Funeral Mass: 10:30am., Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at St Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church. Graveside: 11am., Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at the Grand Island City Cemetery.
