FALCONE, Yano S. 11/6/1927 – 12/14/2018 Age 91 years of Omaha Yano was a devoted husband and father who was committed to his Catholic faith. He was proud of, to use his words, “…to have raised 6 children to adulthood!!” He was blessed with 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Yano met his bride of 64 years while taking a “typing class” in night school. (we don’t think he was there to learn to type, but it all seemed to work out ok!) Yano served two years in the United States Army in the rank of Sergeant with tours in Yokohoma and Tokyo Japan. He enjoyed a 37-year career at Sperry Vickers and retired early at age 57 while continuing his work in real estate sales, ownership and property management of numerous multi-unit apartment properties to support his family. After retirement he and JoAnn traveled extensively visiting probably all of the 48 contiguous states and enjoying each other’s company as best friends, making memories. His favorite places he visited were the Grand Canyon and New York City. He was very proud of his Sicilian/Italian heritage and all of the amazing food that his mother cooked and JoAnn learned to make as well. Yano attributes his long healthy life to his strong immigrant parents.Yano recently recalled his favorite memory; “The day I met JoAnn and my marriage to JoAnn in 1954”.He will be missed but he is at peace in His care, eternally.
