William L. Farmer Jr. April 22, 1939 - July 4, 2021 Omaha, Nebraska - Bill is survived by his wife Laura, son William L. Farmer III, son Michael L. Farmer and wife Susan, Amanda (Tony) Piriano, Matthew (Marie) Hart, and Sarah (Kyle) Armstrong. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Collin Farmer, Claire Farmer, Marielle Farmer, Joseph Piriano, Jeena Piriano, Luke Armstrong, Noah Armstrong, and Cole Armstrong. In addition to his immediate family he is survived by nephew Thomas Steen, niece Karen Hoffmann, nephew Kenneth Dove II, nephew Donald Dove, nephew Gary Dove, and niece Deanna Sherland; and a number of great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and great-great-great nieces. He is preceded in death by his father and step-mother William Sr. and Gladys Farmer; his mother Nelda Farmer (nee Hamilton); Two sisters and brothers-in-law, June and Kenneth Dove I, and Ella and Ted Meimar; and two nephews, Ronald Steen & Wayne Meimar. Bill worked in the printing and graphic arts industry for over five decades, serving in several roles including pressman, executive leadership, and consultant. As a result of his significant contributions, he was granted membership in the Ben Franklin Society, a prestigious honor society for the printing and graphics arts industry. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Omaha, NE where he served as a lay reader and eucharistic minister, in addition to volunteering in the kitchen to serve the homeless. He served as Senior and Junior Warden at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Medford, Oregon. Bill was a former member of the Belleville (Illinois) Masonic Temple, a boy scout leader, judo instructor, baseball coach, and competitive archer. He was a gourmet cook, outdoorsman, and loved all things involving golf. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Trinity Episcopal Outreach (https://trinityepiscopal.org/).
