Bill was born in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1926 and graduated from Omaha South High. He served in WWII for the U.S. Navy as a gunner on the USS Bremerton in the Atlantic and Pacific fleets. Before enlisting for the war, he worked at Merchants Biscuit Co., in North Omaha, where he met the love of his life, Gwendolyn. One day prior to deployment with the Navy, Bill and Gwen married. After returning home from the war, Bill began a 40-year career working for Union Pacific Railroad, as a painter and stenciler of locomotives, rail cars, and cabooses. Bill and Gwen started their family in 1947 and raised four beautiful children: Bill Jr., Gary, Debbie, and Chris. In his retirement years, he fondly enjoyed various hobbies ranging from woodworking, traveling, polka dancing, Vegas casino slots and poker, and volunteering for the Order Sons of Italy. The many friends and family of Bill will miss him dearly but are also happy to know that he is finally reunited in eternal harmony with his Gwendolyn. He was preceded in death by his wife Gwendolyn Hoult & son Gary Hoult, granddaughters Angela & Tina Hoult; Bill is survivedby his Children: Bill (Janis) Hoult, Debbie (Ron) Lassek, Chris Gordon; 6 Grandchildren & 15 Great Grandchildren.
