FLETCHER, Virginia M. 12/24/1935 - 2/20/2022 Virginia Marie Fletcher of Omaha. Age 86 years, 1 month, 28 days. “I’m closer to 90 than 80!” Born on December 24, 1935 in Omaha NE to Raymond & Martha Hering Graduated from Omaha Technical High School in 1953. Married her high school sweetheart, Terry Fletcher, December 26, 1953 and four lovely children were the blessing of this union. She knew Jesus as her Savior and lived a life dedicated to our Heavenly Father. She enjoyed volunteering her time at Lydia House, Open Dorr Mission and helping shut-ins get to church. She was active in planning her High School Reunions. Was an avid supporter of the Omaha Knights Hockey booster club. Survived by: Daughter, Debbie Avey (Kevin), Daughter, Cindy Fletcher, (Don Juhl), Son, Scott Fletcher (Dawn), Son, Brad Fletcher. Brother Roger Hering (Cynthia), Sister Sandra Hatfield (Donald) and Special Niece Stephanie Hering. Grandchildren, June Schleimer, Jim Griffin (Melissa), Mandy Hatfield (Charles Godfrey), Alan Fletcher (Mandy Tapp), Jennifer Williamson (Matt), Randy Hatfield (Samantha), Tim Avey, Alicia Fletcher, Tyler Fletcher. Great Grandchildren: Kielan Rice, Logan Godfrey, Griffin Schleimer, Jace Rice, Jessalyn Schliemer, Josylyn Rice, Colton Schleimer, Ryken Fletcher, Kylie Fletcher, Breckin Fletcher, Gavin Godfrey, Vivian Schliemer, Delany Griffin, Lynnley Williamson, Lyiah Fletcher, Bennett Williamson, Easton Fletcher, Maddox Fletcher, Edward Von Glan. Preceded in death by: Father Raymond Hering, Mother Martha Fletcher, Brother Richard Hering, Special Nephew Kevin Hering, Grandson Tommy Fletcher, Great Grandsons Toby Schliemer and Jake Fletcher. Funeral service: Wednesday, February 23 at 11 am with visitation from 10-11 am, at Braman Mortuary 72nd St. Chapel. Interment: Forest Lawn Memorial Park
