PLUMMER, Verla E. (Livers) 4/8/1934 – 5/1/2020 Verla Eloise (Livers) Plummer was born on April 8, 1934 to Vyrl D. and Lucy H. (Green) Livers.She grew up on a farm outside of Ashland, Nebraska and had two older brothers, Kenneth and Keith Livers.Following her graduation from Ashland High School, she attended and graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University and Bryan School of Nursing.She worked as a Registered Nurse at Bryan Memorial Hospital, where she met her husband, Tom J. Plummer, Jr. of Ogallala.They married in Ashland, Nebraska on March 1, 1959. They lived on the Plummer family farm between Ogallala and Brule, Nebraska where Tom farmed and ranched, and Verla worked at the Ogallala Community Hospital and Clinic as a Registered Nurse until she retired to be a stay at home mom. They both enjoyed traveling and took many trips both within the continental United Stated and abroad. In 1998 they moved to Lincoln, Nebraska after Tom retired from farming. In 2019, the decided to move to the Papillion/Sarpy County area to be closer to their daughter and her family. Verla is survived by her husband of 61 years, Tom, their daughter Kerri Plummer-Gelecki and her husband Mark Gelecki.Grandson Austin JT Plummer of Lincoln, step grandchildren, Michaela Kavanagh and husband Mitch of Omaha, Kristina Larson and husband Travis of Denver, Colorado, Grant Gelecki of Omaha and Connor Gelecki of Omaha.She is proceeded in death by her parents, Vyrl and Lucy Livers, her in-laws, Tom Sr. and Ellen Ora (Whitney) Plummer, her brother Kenneth Livers and her brother Keith Livers, an infant daughter, Theresa, and other family and friends.
