Ulysses C. Watson was born in Dumas, Arkansas on June 19, 1935 to Ulishes and Adaline Gracie Watson. He was the fifth child of nine children. Ulysses accepted Christ in his life at a young age. He was united in marriage to Florris Juliett Philmon and they moved to Omaha, Nebraska. Ulysses was a dedicated and devoted father of eight children. He loved to spend time with his children and his grandchildren and attend as many family reunions as he could to spend time with other family members. Ulysses served in the Usher Board at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church under the late John H. Whittington for many years. Ulysses retired as an Inspector for Beef Nebraska after working in the Meat Processing Industry for over 30 years. Ulysses is survived by Rosette Davis (wife); Children: Donald R. Watson, Dallas, Texas; Gwen (Clarence) Walton, Omaha; Stephen (Shermaletha) Watson, Dallas, Texas; Janet Watson-Hamlin, Omaha; Denise (Troy) Charles, Omaha; Alan Watson, Oklahoma; Gerald (Meredith) Watson, Dallas, Texas. Seventeen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Sister: Doris Williams and Brother Joseph Watson, Omaha; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many more family. Preceded in death: Parents: Ulishes & Adeline Gracie Watson; First wife: Florris Watson; Son: Kevin Ulysses Watson; Sisters: Earline Livingston, Irene Keeton, Melree Osler, and Gracie Barnes. Brothers: Oscar and Roy Watson. Grandsons: Steven Hicks and Desmond Jones-Ransom.
