Ulrike T. "Ricki" Otten

Ulrike Theodora Burger Otten "Ricki", 67, of Omaha, NE, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2020, after a battle with cancer, at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born September 23, 1953, in Bad Wildungen, Germany, to James and Amalie (Vogel) Burger.In 1973, Ricki married George Otten in Omaha, NE. To this union two children were born, Adam Otten and Morgan Otten. Ricki graduated in 1971, from Cathedral High School in Omaha, NE. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Ricki was a member of the faculty at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She was the coordinator of the Chemistry Curriculum in the Medical Technology Program.She retired in 2019 due to health issues. Ricki is survived by her son Adam (Amy) Otten, of Lexington, South Carolina; daughter Morgan Mize, Omaha; grandchildren: Mariah (Paul) Brown, Caleb, Jacob, Elyssa, Mikayla, Samantha, Joanna; great granddaughter: Amelia; brothers: Rod (Sue) Burger, Clifton (Evelyn) Burger, all of Omaha. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. And, also, her very special friends Barb, Linda and Connie.
