Tim Obregon of Omaha, NE, passed away Monday, August 31, 2020, at the age of 56. Tim was born in Grand Forks, ND, on August 20, 1964, to Daniel and Scharlene Obregon. He was raised in Grand Forks and attended St. Michael’s Catholic School and Valley Junior High before graduating from Central High School in 1982. After high school, Tim enrolled at the University of North Dakota where he took classes for a couple of years. Tim spent most of career as a sales representative for outdoor equipment companies, including Dakota Peat & Equipment in Grand Forks, and Van Wall Equipment, in Omaha. His children were truly the joy of his life, whether that meant following them around the country playing in hockey tournaments or enjoying their company on a lazy Sunday afternoon. An easy-going guy, Tim also enjoyed golfing and was an avid NASCAR fan. Tim will be greatly missed by his family, including his four children, Joshua, of Omaha, Delaney (fiancée, Patrick Morgenstern) of Haslett, MI, Danielle, of Omaha, and Jillian, of Charlotte, NC; former wife, Heather, of Omaha, NE; his mother, Scharlene, of Grand Forks; and his six siblings, Jeffrey and Daniel, both of Grand Forks, Dawn, of Bloomington, IL, Cynthia, of Fairchild AFB, Jan, of Marlboro, MA, and Jill, of Norwich, OH. He’ll also be fondly remembered by countless family members and friends. Tim is preceded in death by his father, Daniel. A celebration of Tim’s life will be held Sunday, September 6, 2020, at Norman Funeral Home in Grand Forks. There will be a visitationfrom 2-3:30 p.m., followed by a short prayer service.
