Timothy M. Alexander

June 17, 1966 — September 14, 2024

Timothy Michael Alexander, 58, passed away on September 14th, 2024 at his home in Omaha, Nebraska. Tim was born on June 17th, 1966 in Omaha, NE to Richard Alexander and Sherry Parker. He grew up in the Omaha Metropolitan area. He married Robin Walters on May 27, 1990 in Omaha, NE. From this union they were blessed with seven children, Jessica, Emily, Joshua, Daniel, Jennifer, Sarah, and Christopher. Tim served in the US Air Force from 1988-1992 and was responsible for maintaining and repairing the wiring and electrical components on aircraft. Throughout his lifetime he worked in a similar capacity as an expert in wiring and electrical systems. In his spare time, he enjoyed attending concerts, riding his motorcycle, playing cards and corn hole and horseshoes. He was also a dedicated Nebraska Cornhusker and Chicago Bears fan. His family was everything to him. He especially enjoyed spending time in his shop or with his children and grandchildren. From celebrating birthdays and holidays, having their annual Alexander Memorial Day games, to attending their activities; basketball, baseball, flag football and soccer. Tim’s door was always open to his loved ones. In the evenings you would find him in his shop watching sports, happy to see anyone who walked through the door. He was as generous with those he loved as a man could be. Many times throughout his life he made sure his friends had a roof over their head and some food in their stomach. Courage was not something he lacked, either. When Robin passed in 2010, he had to dig deep and find the strength to continue being present for his children. His path in life wasn’t always easy or forgiving, but he faced everything head on and never stopped growing as a person. He had deeply rooted values and being a shoulder to lean on for his children, or to help out when they needed anything, was something he spent a great amount of time focusing on these past years. Tim married Sandra (Sandy) Self on July 27, 2019 in Omaha, NE. They had their first date on 12-12-12 and within a few short weeks, he knew it was love. Sandy was always there for him when he needed her, just as he was for her, during the turmoil of losing loved ones or unpredictable health scares. The love they shared through thick and thin is something everyone should strive for. Tim and Sandy loved visiting Sandy’s brother in Colorado and attending concerts at Red Rocks amphitheater. Colorado was their happy place. Left to mourn his passing: his wife, Sandy Alexander, his children Jessica (Blake), Emily (Justin), Joshua (Savannah), Daniel, Jennifer (Jordan), Sarah (Brian), Christopher, his stepson Daniel (Katie), his grandchildren, Lennon, Alyce, Aiden, Hollis, Oliver, Emerson, Rogue, Juliett, Gideon, Iyla, his parents, Dave and Sherry Wattier, brothers, Jeff (Renata), Neil (Cindy), Craig (Cassandra). Preceding him in death are Robin, Richard, Dolores (grandmother) and Terry (uncle). A gathering to honor Tim’s life will be held at 10:00am on Saturday September 21st at Braman Funeral Home, 1702 N 72nd St, Omaha, NE 68114. Military Honors and Interment will be held at 9:00am on Friday September 20th, at Omaha National Cemetery, 14250 Schram Rd, Omaha, NE 68138. Flowers and donations can be sent to Braman Funeral Home.
