GORDON, Thomas M. 11/2/1946 – 8/24/2018 Age 71 years of Omaha Tom loved sports and was quite the athlete growing up.His favorite sport was baseball. He was an infielder on the Ryan High School baseball team and played on the 1965 Pepsi National Runner Up Legion team. He also planned to play baseball at St. Benedictine College, but instead was drafted into the Army.Tom was an avid Cubs fan and celebrated his 70th birthday watching the Cubs win their first World Series since 1908.Baseball was always a joyful part of Tom’s life as he watched his son Jeff play in high school and college, as well as his grandsons play for several club teams and the Skutt Varsity Baseball Team. Tom also loved to golf.He was fortunate to play at courses throughout the United States and enjoyed his retirement as a ranger at Tiburon Golf Course.Tom will be remembered for a lot of things, but definitely for his “love of the game.” He was preceded in death by sister Jackie Hibbs; Tom is survived by his Wife of 50 years, Sharon Gordon; Son Jeff (Sherri) Gordon; Sister Mary (Frank) Haman; Brother Mike (Patty) Gordon; Grandchildren: Jackson, Tyson, Macy; Many other relatives & friends.
