MOREHEAD, Thomas Jack, Sr. “Tom” February 24, 1947 ~ August 4, 2024 Tom was born in Clinton, Iowa and attended Lewis Central High School. He loved football in High school, and he was an avid wrestler which he received many medals. Tom met his Love of his Life Sharon in 1964, and they married in 1966. He loved his wife more than anything in the world. He would do anything for her to make her happy. They were married 57 years. He was very devoted to her. Tom loved to run his Camaros on the track, and he loved to win. He loved his cars fast! He was the best mechanic, he could pretty much fix anything. Tom loved to renovate their houses even when they were just being built. He was a perfectionist, he wanted everything just right for my mom and him. He always had a ‘to do” list. Tom was very proud of his son Thomas Jr and his wrestling accomplishments; he attended as many of his wrestling meets as his military duties would allow. Tom was very proud of all his grandkids and great grandkids and attended any of their sporting events his health would allow him to. Tom loved his dogs, all of them. One of the things Tom was Proud of was his HUSKERS “GO BIG RED” He had a whole basement dedicated to the Huskers. For the last 15 years of his life, he wore nothing but Husker clothing. Tom and Sharon loved to go to Home Team Cookout for dinner then to Horseshoe Casino for a night of fun. Tom served in Vietnam and Desert Storm with the U.S. ARMY. He retired as a CW3 after 31 years of service to his country. Tom was preceded in death by his mother Nedra Marie; sisters: Sandra Reicks, Betta Edelman; He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Sharon; daughter Tammy Childers & husband Ken; son Thomas J. Morehead, Jr. & Stephanie Chamness; brother Delbert “Skip” Feistner; grandchildren: Brooklyn, Dylan, Cody, Nicholas, Tyler, Keaton, Rissa, Veronica, Ian, Jayce; great grandchildren: Ava, McKenna, Mallory, Maykaylee, Jaxon, Dylan Cole, Davis, Levi; many other relatives and friends. CELEBRATION OF TOM’S LIFE: Monday, August 12, 2024 at 11:15am, with VISITATION one hour prior to the service, all at Braman Mortuary (Millard Chapel). INTERMENT: Omaha National Cemetery.
