Thomas William Heller

Thomas W. Heller May 20, 1942-December 12, 2024 Tom was born to the late William "Willis" and Norma Heller on May 20, 1942 in Beatrice, Nebraska. He graduated from Clatonia High School in 1959 where he was part of the Class D State Championship Basketball Team in 1958. He went to Fairbury Junior College before moving on to earn his Business Degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He joined the US Army in 1964 serving 3 years in Germany. Professionally he worked many years for Target. Afterwards, he owned his own business. Tom was fun-loving and friendly, being able to strike up a conversation with anyone. His many jokes and stories will be missed. He loved Husker football and volleyball, fishing, playing cards and singing. He sang in the Rejoice! church choir for over 50 years. One of his favorite hobbies was shopping and he loved to look for bargains. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grand-daughters. He and his wife, Diane, had many wonderful travel adventures. He leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Diane, and sons, William and Timothy (Kelli) and his grand-daughters, Drew and Parker. He is also survived by his brother, Jack (Gwen); brother-in-laws Duane (Bev) Stokebrand and Larry (Jeanne) Stokebrand and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Norma Heller and brother-in-law, Roger (Carolyn) Stokebrand. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Wounded Warriors A Memorial Service is planned for 11:00 am., January 10, 2025 at Rejoice! Lutheran Church.
