Steve was born to Richard and Beryldene Vachal in David City, NE. He moved to Omaha, NE where he met the love of his life, Eva Vachal, in 1981. Steve was a mason and very hard worker. He ran a successful business for over 20 years that made a mark in Omaha, making many friends along the way.

Steve and Eva had a blended family with 4 children, who he loved being with. He was welcoming and included anyone who wanted to join in on the fun, especially at his 4th of July parties. In the early years you would find him and the family boating and swimming. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid golfer, fisherman and hunter. He always kept himself busy. When he wasn’t outside, he would be watching the Dallas Cowboys or the Nebraska Huskers Football and Volleyball teams.

Steve is survived by wife, Eva Vachal; son, Jacob Vachal; daughters Nichole Imhoff (Joshua), Stephanie Vachal and Ginny Vachal. 11 Grandchildren, Dominic, Ian, Arianna, Marcelino, Yesenia, Camden, Ryann, Malaysia, Dallas, Alexia, Darion; 1 Great Grandson, Santiago. Siblings, Debra Sewell (Ray), Terry Vachal (Marie) and Richard Vachal. He was preceeded in death by his parents, Richard Vachal, mother Beryldene Vachal; sister, Shirley Lane, brother Randall Vachal; father-in-law, Bob Rodrigues and mother-in-law, Nellie Rodrigues; sister-in-law, Helen Lubash; brother-in-law, Charles Rodrigues; nephew Bobby Rodrigues.

CELEBRATION OF STEVE'S LIFE: Friday, December 20, 2024 at 11:00 am, with family receiving friends one hour prior to the service, all at Braman Mortuary (Millard Chapel). Following the service, please join the family for a luncheon in the gathering room at Braman Mortuary.
