Shirley Mae Robinson Born: October 23, 1927 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Died: January 7, 2018 in Ashland, Nebraska. Education: Graduated from Cheyenne High School in 1945 where she was a member of the swim team, girl’s uppfer class volleyball, A Capella Concert group, Big Sisters, GAA, Tomahawks select pep club. She was also active in Jobs Daughters and Girl Scouts. Graduated from the University of Wyoming im 1950 with a Bachelor of Education degree. She was a member of Kappa Delta sorority and served as president for 1 year. Married on September 3, 1950 to Dean R. Robinson. Shirley was always active in every community she lived in and at her church. She took great pride in her children and helped at the school and in their activities. She served as the Guardian for Jobs Daughters Bethel #73 in Burwell, NE. and was active in PEO, Eastern Star, church treasurer, Historical Society, library, and 4-H in Burwell and Harrison. She did not want to move away, but her safety had to take precedence over her wishes. She is survived by her 6 children: Mark and Debbie Robinson of Omaha, NE. Cheryl and David Goehring of Lincoln, NE. Lin and Joe Gilbert of Sheridan, WY. Stacy and Cindy Robinson of Springville, UT. Ralph and Kathleen Robinson of Keokuk, IA. Christine Lamb of Sheridan, WY. She also has 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Grandchildren: Bill, Nick and David Robinson Valerie and Elbert Williams, Stephanie Goehring, Nicole and John Fiedler Joshua Gilbert, Courtney and Jamie Edwards, and Erin Gilbert Dean Robinson Samantha Lamb Great-grandchhildren: Anthony Goehring and Aaliyah Goehring Williams John Fiedler, Jr. and Adria Fiedler Celebration of Shirley’s Life: Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 11:30AM at the Memorial United Methodist Church (278 2nd Street Harrison, NE 69346)
