Shirley A. Neville (Janz)
November 1, 1945 – February 7, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley A. Neville (Janz), a beloved wife, mother, award-winning quilter, and baker, who passed away on February 7, 2025, after a fierce 15-year battle with cancer. Born on November 1,1945 in Kitchener, Ontario, she was a spirited, spunky woman with a heart as warm as the cookies she baked and was the first to comfort those needing it with the quilts she created. Though small in stature, her impact on all who knew her was immense, and her strength and sense of humor were unmatched.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and creativity, and will be deeply missed by her family: Her husband of 58 years William Neville: her son Jeff Neville and his wife Joy with their children: Jack, Devin and Parker; and her daughter Amanda Acheson and her husband Sam and their children William and Quincy.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate her life this Thursday, February 13th at 11am. Visitation will begin at 10:30am. at Hope Presbyterian Church (5220 S 159th Ave, Omaha, NE). Shirley will be laid to rest at Westlawn Hillcrest at a later date.
