WAGNER, Scott A.
March 31, 1962 - March 14, 2024
Scott Allen Wagner was born on March 31, 1962 in Omaha, NE. He graduated from Millard High School in 1980 and later entered the United States Air Force. After completing four years in the Air Force, he was honorably discharged and went on to obtain an Associate’s Degree in Aviation Mechanics from Iowa Western Community College. He worked in the aviation industry for many years to follow.
Scott was blessed with two daughters and four grandchildren who he enjoyed playing with and teasing endlessly, as he himself was truly a kid at heart! He was an avid Husker football fan (except when they wouldn’t “run the damn ball”) and also enjoyed cheering on the Green Bay Packers. One of his greatest adventures was attending a football game at Lambeau field with his dad. Another hobby Scott enjoyed regularly was eating bacon. He thought it was so “numinski!”
Scott loved to make people laugh (if not by posting offensive memes on Facebook, then by sharing ridiculous “dad jokes”)! The room was always louder when Scott was in it, but it was also way more fun! When he wasn’t telling a joke, he was sharing his wisdom. Scott taught us some profound life lessons like: “sometimes you’re the windshield and sometimes you’re the bug” and “if you’re not living on the edge, you’re taking up too much space.”
Scott was a strong believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, and leaned on his faith to get him through some very difficult times, including the loss of his daughter, Amber, in 2022. Scott’s hope was not in earthly things and he often expressed he was ready to be home with his heavenly Father, daughter and many other loved ones who have gone before.
Scott Allen Wagner passed away on March 14, 2024 at the VA Hospital in Omaha, NE. He was preceded in death by daughter Amber Gravedoni, parents Alfred Wagner and Barbara Wagner and brother Thomas Wagner. He is survived by siblings James (Debra) Wagner, Mark (Stacy) Wagner and Dawn (Ben) Putnam, daughter Stephanie Murphy, son-in-law Adam Gravedoni, grandchildren Brandon, Falon, Sabrina and Tanner, and many nieces and nephews.
