SWANGER, Sandra A. 7/31/1940 – 2/23/2019 Sandra A Swanger , seventy-eight of Atlantic Iowa passed away on Feb 23rd 2019 at the UNMC Hospital in Omaha, NE. She was born on July 31st 1940 in Council Bluffs, IA to Whyndom & Louise Swanger, she was the oldest of three children. She worked for many years and retired from the Wal-mart in Fremont, NE. She enjoyed working at Wal-mart where she started in sporting goods and later became the Supervisor of the bakery. Besides working she enjoyed time with her family, fishing, bird watching, reading, and Husker Football. In retirement, she moved from Fremont, NE to Atlantic, IA to be closer to her children & grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents Whyndom & Louise, sister Sharon Jackson She is survived by her children Chem Elings, Jackie Elings, Lisa Luke all of Atlantic, IA and Chuck Elings of Adair, IA, Sister Kathleen Swanger of Rogers, AR, eight grandchildren Tyler, Andrew, Tanya, Ashton, Niki, Jordan, Dan & Shayla and many great grandchildren.
