Sam was born in Coaldale, Pennsylvania August 2, 1932. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Louise, his son, Gary Wall (wife, Dot) and daughter Elizabeth (Betty) Kalina, five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was united in marriage to Louise Bila in 1954.
Sam grew up in Pennsylvania, the youngest of four boys. After high school he joined the Air Force, which brought him to Omaha, Nebraska. Sam had a strong work ethic which contributed to him working his way up to upper management with the Campbell Soup company. He always remained loyal to Campbell Soup, moving from Fremont Nebraska to Sumter South Carolina, then to Tecumseh, NE and finishing his career in Omaha.
Sam served in the Korean War and in later years enjoyed the Korean War vets. He enjoyed golfing, playing the piano and was an avid reader. He played the piano for the noon meetings of the Kiwanians, and enjoyed his morning coffee group.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials to go to his local Kiwanian club.
Interment will be at the Omaha National Cemetery
