Russell L Koken, 67, died April 2nd, 2021 in Omaha Nebraska. Russell was the son of Ray L Koken and Shirley E (Johnson) Koken. He was born July 4th, 1953 in Omaha, where he graduated from Central High School in 1971. He continued his education at the University of Nebraska Omaha. Russ worked for Greyhound Lines for many years. In early retirement he continued working part-time at CHI Health, as he enjoyed getting out and meeting people. Russ was a very active and beloved member of the Churches of Christ, and the longest attending active member of the Southwest Church of Christ. He was continually encouraging others. Russ had a strong faith and was willing to help anyone in need. His cheery phone calls and words of encouragement to have a “blessed day” will be missed by many. Russell was preceded in death by his parents, and step-mother Virdeen S Koken. He is survived by family and many friends and loved ones. Graveside Service: Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 9:00am at Mt.
