It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our dad, grandpa, husband, Roy A Pollock. Roy died peacefully in his sleep on Monday, October 16, 2023. Roy was an only child to Fay and Harry Pollock. Roy went to school at Tech High. He also worked at a bakery as a young man, where he would later introduce his mother Fay to his future step-dad, James Siracusano. Shortly there after, he met the love of his life, Darlene J Curtis. Roy and Darlene had 4 boys together and were married 59 years. They lived on 33rd and California Street in Omaha, Nebraska, until July 1976, when they moved to Bennington Nebraska. Jim, Fay, Roy, and Darlene loved going on vacations and spending time together.

Roy would follow in his mother's foot steps and work for the Omaha Public School System for more than 35 years. Roy loved spending time with family and friend's, especially during the football season. Some of his favorite hobbies were raising his pets, playing cards, being a part of the neighborhood watch (unofficial), teasing those around him, and watching the Nebraska Cornhusker teams.

Roy was dearly loved and adored by those who knew him. He had a joy-filled heart with the most cheerful, fun and uplifting personality. He brought laughter and smiles to everyone he met. Roy was quick-witted, kind, caring, faithful, positive, hard working, funny, had more friends than most people have, and always willing to lend a helping hand. He always had funny stories to share, and would keep even the most serious times light with laughter. Roy will be greatly missed.

Roy is survived by his wife of 59 years, Darlene Pollock; sons: Roy (Tina), Ray (Tami), Richard (Melissa), Randy (Sarah) Pollock; 16 grandchildren & 15 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.

VISITATION: Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 1:00pm-3:00pm at Braman Mortuary (72 St. Chapel)

CELEBRATION OF ROY'S LIFE: Monday, October 23, 2023 at 11:00am, at Braman Mortuary (72 St. Chapel)
