MOERLES, Rosemary (Archibald) Nov. 23, 1929 – Oct.18, 2021 Preceded in death by parents, Joseph A. and Clara P. (Seefus) Archibald; brother, Joseph A. Archibald, Jr; sister, Rita Clare Archibald; husbands, Richard L. Greenquist and Howard E. Moerles; sons-in-law Ralph Worley and Charles Ratliff. Survived by children Sandra Worley, Mark (Patty) Moerles, Katrina Moerles, Claire Ratliff; grandchildren, Michael (Debbie) Worley, Daniel (Cindy) Worley, Christina Albertson, Lorelei Mize, Carrie (Andrew) Lutzen, Michael Brennauer, Timothy Willett, Benjamin Willett, Matthew Willett, Ian Ratliff, Parker Ratliff; nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; beloved extended family and friends. Born in Omaha, she was proud to be one of 53 first cousins in a large, fun-loving family. She attended Holy Name Grade School and High School, graduating in 1947, entering the workforce at World Insurance. From 1954-1964, she held several jobs as a switchboard operator while living in Southern California, including Call Nina, an answering service to the stars. She married Richard in 1957 and had her daughters. Widowed, she returned to Omaha and worked at Farm Credit/Federal Land Bank; 1965-1971,where she met her beloved husband Howard E. Moerles. She was a member of St. Richard’s Catholic Parish for many years before moving to Immanuel Courtyard, and later New Cassel Retirement Community. She often volunteered for church and community events and needs. Rosemary loved family and friends, travel, writing stories and poetry, ice skating, crossword puzzles, rock tumbling, big family picnics, Nebraska football, hockey, fishing and camping. She charmed with her sense of humor and won friends and admirers for her volunteer spirit. ROSARY: Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021 at 5:00pm, with visitation one hour prior, all at Braman Mortuary (72 St. Chapel) MEMORIAL MASS: Monday, Oct. 25, 2021 at 1:00pm at New Cassel Retirement Center's Chapel (900 N. 90 St.) INTERMENT: Forest Lawn Memorial Park In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to St. Joseph’s Indian School, Chamberlain, SD or The New Cassel Foundation, Omaha, NE.
