KING, Ronald E. 4/5/1945 – 9/25/2018 Age 73 years of Omaha Ron was born in California while both parents were serving in the Navy.Ron's twin sister, Donna, was born minutes before him.The twins, their older brother Larry, and younger sister, Linda, lived in Humbolt, NE before moving to Auburn, NE where their parents ran King's Meat Locker.Truckers drove out of their way to get some of their jerky!After an exciting football career in high school, Ron followed his parents footsteps and joined the Navy.He worked on an ammunitions ship during Vietnam.Right after leaving the Navy he met Anne McKnight, who became his first wife and mother of his daughter, Anne Elizabeth, and step-daughter, Adele Russell.While raising the girls he worked at Safeway as a meat cutter, in Omaha.He moved to Lincoln and began a career as a guard at the State Penitentiary.He rose to Sergeant and loved his job.Upon retiring he moved back to Omaha to spend time with his daughters and grandchildren.His best friend was Kitty King, his tuxedo cat.
