Ronald Eugene Ingram

Ronald passed to his eternal resting place on August 26, 2011. Ron graduated from Aurora High School, from UNL with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and from Wichita State with a MBA. In 1968 he began a 28 year career with Northern Natural Gas/InterNorth/Enron, living the last 10 years in Houston. He retired in 1996 and they moved back to Omaha to be closer to family. Ron was a firm believer in giving back to the community. As such, he served as President of the Omaha Jaycees from 1974-75. In 1976 he was honored as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Omahans. He was on the original board of directors of Youth Emergency Services and continued to serve on that board for 20 years. He was honored by them with a Life Membership. He served on the original board of directors of the Buy.com golf tournament, now known as the Cox Classic golf tournament. He was also a 45 year member of the Knights of Columbus, becoming very active in various positions after his return to Omaha. Survivors are his wife, Sharon; daughter, Sandy Ham (friend, Todd Malouf) of Omaha; son, Todd (Teresa) of Lincoln; son, Tim (Chris) of Omaha; grandchildren, Jessica Ham, Kyle Ham, Thomas Ingram, and Katie Ingram, all of Omaha; brother, Russ (Sue) of Omaha; and aunt, Eleanor Strotman of Central City; as well as many nieces and nephews, also survive. Visitation, Tues. 5-7pm with a 7pm Rosary at Braman Mortuary – Southwest Chapel. Funeral Mass, Wed. 10:30 am at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church, 16701 S St. Omaha, NE 68135.
