Ronald “Ron” Bittner, age 73, passed away at home on November 13, 2023. Ron was born on March 13, 1950 in Omaha, Nebraska. Ron and his brother Gary were raised by their mother June Fuller. Ron graduated from Omaha North High School in 1969, and maintained many friendships from that time. Ron’s first marriage to Patricia Bittner resulted in two children, Shannon Bittner-Miller and Ryan Bittner. In 2005, he married Cheryl Baron and they resided in Omaha Nebraska.
Ron owned a successful business in auto glass installation for more than 30 years. He was known for his humor, love of classic cars, trains, gardening, and dogs. Ron always had a dog by his side when home. He also spent a great deal of time volunteering at the Immanuel Fontenelle nursing home where he brought humor and company to residents. Ron enjoyed pranking family and friends and sharing jokes, he enjoyed making others laugh.
Ron was preceded in death by his mother June Fuller, brother Gary Bittner, and wife Cheryl Baron, survived by daughter Shannon Bittner-Miller and husband Brad, son Ryan Bittner and wife Dana, sister-in-law Sherry Bittner, step-children; Dana Downing and partner Jeff Husk, and Jeff Baron; beloved grandchildren Reece, Evan, and Adelynn Bittner, and Alyssa Husk; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
