It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Ray Bain, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Ronald passed away peacefully on November 11, 2024, at age 77, at the VA Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Ronald was born on November 11, 1947, in Leon, Iowa to the late Donald and Clara (Smith) Bain. Ronald proudly served in the United States Army, having been drafted, he served November 6, 1967, fulfilling his duty until his discharge on November 6, 1969. He married Carolyn Young on August 15, 1971, sharing many happy years together raising their children and grandson, until her passing in 2003. Ronald married Martha Huddleston on February 14, 2009. Following his retirement from Lozier Corporation, they spent much of their time traveling and visiting family. After her death, Ronald spent his time helping extended family and living in Seymour, Iowa. He returned to Omaha, Nebraska in October 2021, due to health issues. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Terry (Wendy) Bain, Chris Bain, Allen Bain, and Rhonda (Bain) Hill; grandchildren, Joshua (Jessica) Bain, Zachary (Ariel) Jackson, and Victoria Hill; siblings, Duyane (Doreen) Bain, Pamela Miles, and Becky Bain; and sisters-in-laws, Flora Bain, Carlene Stevens, and Nancy Hakam; several great grandchildren and beloved cousins. In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his wives, Carolyn Young and Martha Huddleston; and sister, Carolyn Haines. A man of many interests, Ronald found joy in traveling, spending quality time with his family, and indulging in his passion for coin collecting. These hobbies not only brought him personal fulfillment but also provided cherished memories for his family. Ronald was a man who treated everyone like they were family. His legacy of love, dedication, and service will forever be remembered by those who knew him. A Celebration of Life for Ronald will be scheduled at a later date.
