Roger Alan Zeeb

Roger Zeeb, born October 1st, 1941, in rural Sarpy County, Nebraska to Louis and Margaret Zeeb. The oldest of 6 siblings growing up in Papillion; Russ, Ken, Shirley, Ron and Patty. He graduating from Papillion High School in 1959. He married Jeannine Honaker on June 2nd, 1962 in Papillion where he went on to build homes and they started their family. Soon after they moved to Millard where they continued to grow their family. Having served on both the Papillion Volunteer Fire Department and the Millard Volunteer Fire Departments for a combined 18 years and serving on the Millard City Council, Roger continued to serve the Millard community at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Leading many groups, special projects, and serving as worship leading in the church. In 1995 Roger retired from the Union Pacific Railroad after 33 years of service. Roger continued to stay active with his fondness for photography. As a member of the Elkhorn Valley Antique Power Association, the tractor club, his photography skills were always available to the group and often featured at EVAPA events. Roger also volunteered for many years at the Union Pacific Railroad Museum in Council Bluffs, Iowa combining his love of the UPRR and his love of history. As one of Bill’s friends for over 38 years he will always treasure that friendship and support. He also appreciated the caring compassion from Kristine Hawes, a very special family friend. Roger is survived by his wife of 61 years Jeannine, daughter Brenda (Jim) with Seby, son James (Angie) with Jana, Jordan and Kali, Justin, Jennel (Joaquin) son Joaquin John. His sense of family and service will truly be missed. In leu of flowers the family asks you please send donations in Roger’s name to the Alzheimer's Association or the Nebraska Firefighters Museum & Educational Center in Kearney, Nebraska.
Visitation: 5:00 pm ~ 7:00 pm, Sunday, October 22, 2023. Funeral Service: Monday, October 23, 2023 at 1:00 pm, all Braman Mortuary - Southwest Chapel.
