October 7, 1930 - February 2, 2023

Roger “Bud” Bridenbaugh passed away on February 2, 2023, at age 92.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Phil and Eva (Fredricksen) Bridenbaugh and brother Jim L. Bridenbaugh.  Bud is survived by his beloved wife of 72 years, Inis (Michelsen) Bridenbaugh, children, Nancy VandenBosch, Judy McIntosh, Roger M. “Mick” Bridenbaugh and daughter-in-law Kim (Evans) Bridenbaugh.  He is also survived by six grandchildren:  Carrie (Nico) Miranda, Wes (Tina) McIntosh, Michael (Amy) VandenBosch, Amy Taylor, Madeline Bridenbaugh, and William Bridenbaugh and eight great-grandchildren:  Alexis, Nico, Allison, Jacoby, Jayce, Carolyn, Autumn, and Sebastian.  He is survived by nieces and nephews:  Marcia McIntyre, Suzy (Raymond) Bridenbaugh-Tahbone, DiAnne (Gerard) Bertero, Margaret (Dan) DeMarco, Mike (Lisa) Kwarcinski, and Kathy Kwarcinski, as well as good friends Robert VandenBosch, Bob and Carol Chambers.

Bud was an avid baseball fan and spent his summers on the baseball diamond.  As a standout pitcher, he won many games for Omaha University (now the University of Nebraska at Omaha).  He also played semi-pro ball, pitching for various teams throughout Nebraska and Iowa.  A graduate of Omaha University, Bud went on to have a long career as a dedicated teacher and administrator for Omaha Public Schools.

Bud loved his family, kids, animals, and sports.  His little dog, Molly, misses him already.
