Robert L. “Bob” Revell, husband, father, grandfather, died December 13, 2023 in Omaha, Nebraska.
Bob was born to Budd and Bonnie Revell on September 26, 1949 in Shenandoah, Iowa. He graduated Graceland College in Lamoni, Iowa and devoted most of his professional life to various roles in the animal health industry.
Following college graduation, Bob married his high school sweetheart Pamela Joyce on April 1, 1972. The two began their married life together in Macon, Missouri and lived in several states across the Midwest before finally making their home in Omaha. He worked for 25 years for Continental Grain Company, and following retirement he worked for Oxbow Animal Health and as an independent quality auditor and consultant.
Bob’s faith was central to his life and he passed along this heritage to his children and grandchildren. Throughout his life he was active as a church musician, Sunday School teacher, small group leader, and church board member. A scripture verse that guided his life was Colossians 3:15-17: “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
Bob had a love for gardening and landscaping, and in the summers he could often be found tending his zinnias, a passion he inherited from his grandmother Nana.
Bob is survived by his wife Pam, and by their children Mark and his wife, Jodi of Bayport, MN; Salena Hirschbrunner and her husband, Jeff of Lincoln, NE; Abby Fehr and her husband, Rob of Omaha, NE; and six grandchildren: Jonah, Parker, Michael, Zach, Caleb, and Ellianna, who were deeply loved by their “Pops.”
Bob was preceded in death by his father Budd Revell and mother Bonnie (Schneider) Revell of Shenandoah, IA. He is survived by his brother Roger Revell, and sisters Janet Barrett and Rosemary Morrow.
VISITATION: Monday, December 18, 2023 from 5:00-7:00pm at Braman Mortuary - Southwest Chapel.
CELEBRATION OF BOB'S LIFE: Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 10:00am at Braman Mortuary - Southwest Chapel
INTERMENT: Rose Hill Cemetery, Shenandoah ,Iowa.
