FLAG MAUK, Robert R. “Bob”, Sr. February 8, 1935 - June 11, 2021. Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Janet C. “Carmen” Mauk, and his parents, William R. “Ray” Mauk and Nora E. “Liz” Mauk, as well as his sister Shirley Pecoraro, and his brothers, Harold, Alan, and Donald Mauk. Bob is survived by his three children, son Robert R. Mauk Jr., daughters Terry Andersen, and Janet Morris, as well as 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, his sisters Wilma Conly, Betty Eriksen, and Beverly Mauk, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bob enlisted in the service as a young man, where he trained as a paratrooper and served for 3 years during the Korean War. He returned to Omaha after the war, and he married Carmen Chase; their marriage lasted 56 years until her death. Bob became a dedicated and hard-working family man: he owned a gas station, worked as a janitor with the school system, and eventually retired from a long career with the U.S. Postal Service. Celebration of Bob’s Life: Thursday, June 17, 2021 at 11:00am, with visitation one hour prior to the service, all at Braman Mortuary (72 St. Chapel) Interment: Mt.
