December 12, 1955 — March 27, 2013

Rick was a 24 year veteran of the Sarpy County Sheriff Department. He served as a sniper with E.S.U., investigator, narcotics, road patrol, jail, defensive tactics instructor, member of the meth lab team & F.T.O. Rick was a 7th degree black belt in Taekwondo, owned & operated Gretna Taekwondo for 17 years. He was nationally ranked in the A.T.A. Top 10 for 4 years, prior to retiring. Rick was senior rank for Taekwondo America. Rick was preceded in death by his mother Ruby; He is survived by his Wife Shelley; Father Orville Staack; Sons: Jacob (Melinda) Staack, Justin Staack; Step-Son Andrew Orren; Sister Doreen (Patrick) Casey; Nephews: Chad (Jill) Casey, Matt (Jill) Casey; Great-Niece Kinsley. Visitation: Friday, March 29, 2013 from 3-8:00 P.M., with a 7 PM Prayer Service, All at Braman Mortuary (Southwest Chapel).
