Ricky A. “Rick” Johnson, 58, passed away on Friday, December 22nd surrounded by loved ones. Rick was born and raised in Omaha. He attended Omaha North High School. He made a living as a Plant Manager at Majors Plastics. Rick met Michelle Meeker through friends and were married in 1982. For 35 years, Rick spent every waking moment loving and cherishing his wife and family. Along with his wife, his daughters, Jolie and Jaia, were his pride and joy. Rick loved and spoiled his grandsons, Holden and Harrison “Harry”. They called him “Bop” and he couldn’t be more proud. A few of the many things that Rick loved in life included Nebraska Football, Family Vacations, Christmas and the Fourth of July, Schramm Park, making Pancakes and mushroom hunting. Most importantly he was an amazing husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family. He worked very hard to take care of everyone he knew and loved to ensure their utmost happiness. While God called him home too soon, the years he had here were filled with love, laughter, pride and joy. In honor of Rick’s love for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, and for Stroke Awareness, friends and family are encouraged to wear red to his service on Saturday, December 30th.
