Survived by wife, Veloy R. Schmidt; children, Jeffery Schmidt, Shari Schmidt, Susan Gloe (Terry), Jayme Schmidt (Bonnie), Shelley Kendrick (Brad), Stacy Lamm, Scott Schmidt (Kim); 13 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; many other family members and friends
Visitation: Sunday, June 4 from 3-5 pm, with a Rosary/Prayer Service at 5 pm, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 5801 Oak Hills Dr., Omaha, NE
Funeral Mass: Monday, June 5 at 10:30 am at St. John Vianney Catholic Church
Interment: Omaha National Cemetery at 1:30 pm with full military honors
