Born to Richard & Rita Ptacek in Omaha on May 8, 1950. He was the oldest of 10 children & grew up in Plattsmouth. Rick was a nature lover and avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening & walking. He had a generous heart toward his family, especially on birthdays and at Christmas. He also sponsored several children through “Children’s International” over the years. Rick loved music, was a prolific writer and comes from a large extended family. He was Preceded in death by his Father Richard F. Ptacek and Brother John Ptacek; He is survived by his Mother Rita F. Ptacek; Brothers & Sisters: Stephen (Vicki) Ptacek, Michael (Robin) Ptacek, Patrick Ptacek, Thomas (Joann) Ptacek, Robert Ptacek, Mark (Amy) Ptacek, Rita Jeanne (Dave) Wesely, Theresa Ptacek; Sister-in-law Patty Ptacek; Many nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews.
