He graduated from Omaha Central High School in 1959 and entered the U.S. Navy in August of 1959 and was aboard the USS Hornet. He worked for Rader’s at 24th & Farnam retiring in 2000 after 22 years of service as Vice President, of which he was appointed in 1983. He was married on 2-13-1971 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Omaha, NE, to his wife Patricia. He enjoyed antique cars, playing poker, and keeping his “ducks” in a row. He was a lifetime member of Omaha Musicians Association and known for his humor and jokes. Preceded in death by his parents, John & Sadie (Falco) LaMalfa and many other relatives. Survived by his wife, Patricia, daughter, Ronda McCarthy; son, Tom McLaughlin; grandchildren, Trisha (Trummer) Cerone & husband, Tommy, Kyle McCarthy, K’Ronda McLaughlin; great grandchildren, Sophia Cerone & Gino Cerone; brother & sister-in-law, Tony & Kay LaMalfa; nephew, Mark LaMalfa; niece, Lisa & husband Steve Bertagni and last but not least his beloved cat Dutchess Funeral service, Friday, 10:00 AM at Braman Mortuary, 72nd Street Chapel.
