Richard Lamalfa

September 9, 1941 — November 24, 2013

He graduated from Omaha Central High School in 1959 and entered the U.S. Navy in August of 1959 and was aboard the USS Hornet. He worked for Rader’s at 24th & Farnam retiring in 2000 after 22 years of service as Vice President, of which he was appointed in 1983. He was married on 2-13-1971 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Omaha, NE, to his wife Patricia. He enjoyed antique cars, playing poker, and keeping his “ducks” in a row. He was a lifetime member of Omaha Musicians Association and known for his humor and jokes. Preceded in death by his parents, John & Sadie (Falco) LaMalfa and many other relatives. Survived by his wife, Patricia, daughter, Ronda McCarthy; son, Tom McLaughlin; grandchildren, Trisha (Trummer) Cerone & husband, Tommy, Kyle McCarthy, K’Ronda McLaughlin; great grandchildren, Sophia Cerone & Gino Cerone; brother & sister-in-law, Tony & Kay LaMalfa; nephew, Mark LaMalfa; niece, Lisa & husband Steve Bertagni and last but not least his beloved cat Dutchess Funeral service, Friday, 10:00 AM at Braman Mortuary, 72nd Street Chapel. Visitation with the family Wednesday, 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Braman Mortuary. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Funeral service, Friday, 10:00 AM at Braman Mortuary, 72nd Street Chapel.
