Forever remembered and forever missed. Richard C. Kohout Jr. passed away at the Omaha Veterans Hospital. He was 90 years of age.
Richard was a loving husband to his wife Christa for 68 years. He is survived by his daughters (sons-in law) Denise (Steve) and Tina (Bill). Richard enjoyed being an Opa/grandfather to Jonathan, James, Nate, Katie, and Jacob and a great grandfather to Archer. He is survived by three brothers: Joel, Dennis, and Kenneth and one sister Geraldine as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Margaret Kohout Sr. and sister Theodora Kohout.
Richard was a member of the Sheetmetal Workers Union Local 3, the Omaha Iris Society, German American Society, and Saint Stephen the Martyr Church. Richard was a veteran of the Korean War.
The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday January 6th, 2024, at 10:30 AM at Saint Stephen the Martyr Church (16701 S St, Omaha, NE 68135). A luncheon will follow the funeral service.
