Penelope Hynek

Penelope Hynek, age 78, of Omaha, NE, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, August 30th, 2024. She was born to the late Frank and Grace Parsons on Thursday, June 13th, 1946 in Des Moines, Iowa. In addition to her parents Penelope is preceded in death by her husband, James Hynek Sr., and brother, Fred Parsons. Penelope is survived by her loving children, James (Patti) Hynek Jr., Christine Hynek (Andrew Spearman), Steve (Cindy) Hynek, and Amanda (Justin) Putnam. She was a cherished grandmother to Jennifer, Heather, Madisyn, Taylor, Collyn, Logan, Richard, Mickala, Paul, Melissa, Samantha, Savanna, and Austin, as well as numerous great grandchildren, relatives, and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at Braman Mortuary (72 St Chapel) in Omaha, NE on Friday, September 6th, 2024 at 3:00 pm. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the same location.
