MANGELSEN, Pauline L. – age 82 years of Omaha, went to be with the Lord May 16, 2008 Pauline Lowie Mangelsen, the second child of the late Oscar John and Lowie Rosetta (Moses) Mangelsen, was born March 24, 1926 on a farm north of Fullerton, NE in Nance County. She attended District #20 school and then went on to attend Fullerton High School and graduated in 1945. She helped mothers with new babies, did babysitting and worked on the family farm. In 1955, she decided to leave the family dwelling and went to Columbus, NE, where she was a waitress and went on to be the bookkeeper for Columbus Laundry. Pauline moved to Omaha, NE in 1960, where she was employed by Western Electric. Her employment spanned 29 years and 9 months, with three name changes of the company to ATT and then Lucent. She retired in 1990 but stayed involved with Lucent by making phone calls to other retired members as part of the Pioneer Club, which she was a lifetime member.
