Armstrong Hines Nov 12, 1932 – May 19, 2009 Passed away in Boise, ID, Tues. evening, May 19, 2009 due to lymphoma cancer.Pauline is the daughter of the late Edgar and Esther Kistler of Omaha and is survived by her husband, Ronald Hines; son and daughter in-law, Michael and Julie Armstrong; daughter and son-in-law Robin and Larry Sund; son and daughter in-law Joel and Karen Armstrong; son-in-law John Masur, husband of “adopted” daughter, Jaqueline.She is also survived by Ron’s son and daughter in-law, Scott and Rachel Hines; daughters and son in-laws Linda and John Garbarino, Pam and Brian Boeddeker, Holly and Kurt Alderman, and Heather and Sean Spero; 24 grandchildren and spouses; and 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Kistler, brother-in-law, Charles Armstrong; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by many members of her adopted Venezuelan family. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Armstrong in 1992; “adopted” daughter Jacqueline Fernandez Masur in 2004, and brother-in-law, Paul Hines in 2008.Pauline graduated from Benson High School and married Gerald in 1950. She lived in Omaha until 1987 and then moved to Lincoln NE.In 1997, she married Ronald Hines and maintained shared residencies Lincoln, NE and McCall, ID.Her passions were her family; gardening; the outdoors; the fiber arts from dyeing and spinning to knitting and crocheting; travel; and making new friends wherever she went.Family visitation and viewing at Braman Mortuary, 1702 No. 72nd St., Tues., May 26, 5-8pm; Funeral service, Wed., May 27, 1 PM; at Countryside Community Church, UCC, 8787 Pacific St.;Inurnment service, Thur., May 28, 3 PM, at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Nehawka, NE ., and a memorial service at a later date at “Pauline’s Rocks” in the Idaho Mountains.Memorials: McCall Community Congregational Church (UCC), McCall, ID; Mountain States Tumor Institute, Boise, ID; St. Luke's Boise Medical Center, Boise, ID; and The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Nebraska Chapter, Omaha, NE.
