Patti (Powers) Brooks died on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 after fighting cancer. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Mike, children Jay (Barbara) and grandchildren Sarah Adams (Doug), Hannah Brooks, and Caleb Brooks of Grand Rapids, MI and Jon (Bridget) Brooks of Omaha. She is also survived by her sister Sally Vieth (Bob) of Gladstone, MO. Patti was an elementary school secretary at Swanson and Sunset Hills in the Westside School District. She was an educational assistant at Westbrook, Westside Middle School, and Oakdale Elementary. Memorial Gathering: Saturday, November 9, 2013 from 10:00 AM - 12 Noon at Braman Mortuary (72 St. Chapel) The family requests casual dress.
