Patrick Linke

Patrick Lee Linke was born on April 21, 1960 in Omaha, Nebraska; he passed away on Sunday November 18th, 2018 at his home outside of Fremont after struggling with health issues, including complications from diabetes.During Pat’s final days he was surrounded by many from his family, including brothers and sister, many cousins and friends, and also several of his nieces and nephews, and his cat Piglet. Pat held many different types of jobs throughout his life, but finally found a career as a truck driver. Pat loved driving trucks, he said it reminded him of his youth when he and his younger brother would play with their trucks in the dirt outside their home, where they would refer to themselves as “Joe and Hank” Pat’s greatest love was riding his motorcycle, something that he really enjoyed.Pat would spend most weekends during good weather riding, with a charity run, with family and friends, or even just by himself.Pat also loved to fish and camp.One of the things he loved about his current home was that it was less than 5 minutes away from Fremont Lakes where he would go fishing whenever he felt like it. Pat was an avid Husker fan, he would watch every game.He was able to watch the Huskers win their game against Michigan State before falling into a coma.He took his final breath with a Husker shirt on and a Husker blanket covering him. Pat came from a large blended family consisting of 10 brothers and sisters.Pat also has many cousins who he felt were more like brothers and sisters.Pat loved his family and friends, and most of them would say that he was the life of the party.He was always ready with a joke or comment to make you laugh.Pat’s biggest weakness in life was women, he had many loves thru out his life but most would agree that the love of his life was his first wife, Theresa.Pat loved to tease his women friends, especially about a certain undergarment. Pat was preceded in death by mother Karen Linke; Siblings: Pam Thomas, Marty Thomas, Benjamin Linke, Kim Thomas; He is survived by his Father Delano Linke; Step-Daughters Theresa & Kellie Westfall; Siblings: Bill (Joni) Moser, Chris (Monica) Linke, Marcy Linke & Sam Popple, Randy (Cindy) Linke, Todd (Bev) Heineman, Rhonda (Bob) Larison; Brother-in-law Matt Thomas; Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Celebration of Pat’s Life: Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018 at 3:00pm, with visitation one hour prior to the service, all at Braman Mortuary (72 St. Chapel) In lieu of flowers, memorials given to the family will be used in Pat's memory at a later date.
