Wilson, Patricia Ann "Patty"
11/25/1947 - 5/14/2023
Patty Kiger Wilson was born in Omaha, NE, on November 25, 1947, to Richard and Laura Kiger.
She attended Mt. View Elementary School, Monroe Junior High, and graduated from Benson High School in 1965.
She met and married Gary Blackburn in December 1966.
She graduated from Capitol Beauty School and worked as a beautician at the Brandeis Building in downtown Omaha. She did hair for both friends and family all her life.
In 1967, she had her first child, Shelley Ann in August. In January 1970, she had her second child, Brian Paul. In June 1977, Robyn Leah completed the family. Patty and Gary were married for 14 years before divorcing in 1980.
Patty worked various jobs throughout her life before finding her place at Plastrglas. There she met the love of her life, Wally Wilson. Patty and Wally were married in 1997.
Patty and Wally had many adventurous years together. They were both members of the Cornhusker Corvette Club. They raced all over the country in both autocross and the ¼ mile. Patty holds the record in her class for drag racing to this day.
They visited all contiguous 48 states in a 38-foot mobile home. They spent weeks at a time exploring and taking in our beautiful nation.
Patty and Wally enjoyed many years living lakeside at Woodcliff, south of Fremont, NE. There they would watch their children raise children of their own. Between their 6 children, they have 18 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Patty’s first love was her family. Her children, stepchildren, grandchildren, and great grandson were the light of her life.
Patty will be dearly missed by many. She has a host of friends in Nebraska, Texas, Colorado, and more. She was an artist, an adventurer, and a friend.
