Patricia (Patty) Louise Ourada, age 78, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 10, 2022, at Methodist Hospital , surrounded by her family.
Patty truly touched the lives of many people with her caring heart . She was an amazing Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend .
She is survived by husband of 57 years, Adolph; children: Chris (Jim) Wojtas, Doug (Lisa) Ourada, Dwayne (Lori) Ourada; grandchildren: Kayla, Paige, Emma, Chelsie, Hannah, Hailey, Zach, Gavin; great grandson Henry; 13 brothers and sisters, many other relatives and friends.
P atty was born to Charles and Doris Henderson on December 1 , 1943. She grew up on her parents’ farm with her 14 brothers and sisters in Omaha near the Florence area . She completed her elementary school years at S t. Philip Neri and graduated from Notre Dame Academy in 196 1 .
At the age of 20, she met the L ove of H er L ife, Adolph Ourada ; they married on May 22, 1965. They made their home in the Benson area where they raised three children, Chris tine (Chris) , Doug, and Dwayne. After 20 years they moved to their current residence in West Omaha.
Patty worked at Tip Top Products Company in 1963 where she worked in production making hair products; after starting their family Patty stayed home to raise their children and managed a small home daycare . She later went on to be a Nursing Assistant at Maple C rest Health Center where she retired after 25 years of service.
She was active in attending her weekly Weight Watcher meetings and volunteered in the S t. Pius X school cafeteria.
Family and church w ere very important to Patty. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved cook ing for her family who especially enjoyed her h orn r olls and kolaches . She also loved reading and praying peacefully every day. Patty will be missed by all who knew her.
VISITATION: Monday, October 17, 2022 from 5-7:00pm, with a ROSARY at 6:30pm, all at Braman Mortuary (Southwest Chapel)
FUNERAL MASS: Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 10:00am at St. Leo Catholic Church (102 & Blondo)
INTERMENT: Calvary Catholic Cemetery
