Patricia “Pat” Cahoon, age 82 of Omaha, passed away at her home Sunday, May 26, 2019. Patty was born in Omaha, Nebraska on October 23, 1936 at Lutheran hospital to Geraldine (Jean) and Earl H. Cahoon. Patty spent most of her life in the metro area, working for many years as a stenographer, billings clerk, and administrative professional before obtaining employment at the Omaha police department as a clerk typist for the last 20 years. Patty enjoyed animals of all kinds in her life, most notably she had an deep affection for dogs and small songbirds. She also enjoyed staying fit and being outdoors. Patty could be seen walking in the neighborhood and working in her garden; tending to flowers and growing vegetables. With a love of the arts, her creative passions also included, knitting and crocheting, painting, and music. She especially enjoyed listening to artists perform on the piano, which she also was known to play. She is survived by her brother, John (Linda) Cahoon of Kennard, nephew and nieces: Steve Cahoon of Omaha, Christine Bice of Omaha and Peggy (Korey) Hobza of Columbus, a great-nephew Garrett Bice of Omaha and two great-nieces, Hayden and Karleigh Hobza of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her parents, special aunt and uncle Mildred and John “Jim” Frum, and nephew Kenneth “Kenny”Cahoon.
