Parker Troy Leavitt
May 18, 1990 ~ October 9, 2023
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son and brother, Parker Troy Leavitt.
Parker was born on May 18, 1990 to Alan Troy and Dawn Leavitt in Salt Lake City, UT. He came into the world suddenly, weighing only 3 lbs and 3 oz. However, he would overcome that obstacle and explore many passions and experiences throughout his life.
After graduating from Riverton High School in 2008, Parker made the courageous decision to join the US Army. He attended boot camp at Fort Jackson and was stationed at Fort Lewis in Seattle, WA. While serving, he was awarded an Army Commendation Medal for winning the Soldier of the Year competition for his brigade.
After completing his service in 2013, Parker moved to Nebraska to be near his immediate family. He was present at many birthday parties, family dinners, and holiday celebrations. He loved his family and they loved him.
Parker was a self-proclaimed nerd at heart. He loved to read, explore new technologies, play video games, and had recently developed an interest in writing. He enjoyed the mountains and spent his last weekend in the mountains of Colorado having a great trip with his parents. We will forever be grateful for these memories.
Parker is survived by his parents, Troy and Dawn Leavitt; grandparents, Alan and Judy Leavitt, and Shirley Sutton; siblings Courtney (Cameron), Baylee (Colin), and Spencer (Emma); and 5 nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Glen Ashton Sutton and Robert Lynn Hales.
A celebration of life will be announced.
