Orville was born in Cook, NE, January 5, 1922 to Julius and Minnie Staack. He died on Saturday November 24, 2018 in Omaha, NE at the age of 96. After four years of high school, he enlisted into the U.S. Navy during WW II. He took Navy basic training at Great Lakes, Illinois and served aboard the USS S.C. 1023, USS STEADY AM118, and the USS PILOT 104. He sailed on North Atlantic Ocean sweeping mines. Then, was send to the Pacific Ocean. After four years in the service he got out and met the love of his life, Ruby Fricke. They were married on May 14, 1954. They had two children, Rick and Doreen. They finally settled in Millard Nebraska where they raised their family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Orville loved to spend as much time as possible playing with the grandkids as well as the great grandchildren. Orville and Ruby loved to go dancing, they would seem to just float over the floor. Even after he lost his wife, he would go out with friends, to dances and still enjoy dancing until the last few months of his life. Orville was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Staack and Son Rick Staack; He is survived by his Daughter Doreen (Pat) Casey; Brother Gene (JoAnn) Staack; Grandsons: Jacob (Mindy), Chad (Jill), Justin (Tarah), Matthew (Jill); 7 Great Grandchildren; Many other relatives and friends.
