Died Friday, October 11, 2013. A sophomore at Mount Michael High School, Nate was a member of the Cross Country and Soccer teams. An accomplished student, his future ambitions were to become a Navy SEAL and then a teacher. He loved music and played guitar. Nate enjoyed the outdoors, and was an avid fisherman. A loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend; he was preceded in death by grandfather Bob Sylvester. Survived by his parents, Dave Jr. and Beth LaFave; brothers, Nick and Chris LaFave; grandparents, Dave Sr. and Liz LaFave; grandmother Barb Sylvester of York, NE; aunts; uncles; cousins; and countless friends. MASS of CHRISTIAN BURIAL at 10:00 AM Wednesday at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church, 16701 'S' St., Omaha. VISITATION with the family Tuesday 5:30-7:30PM, with WAKE SERVICE at 7:30PM at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church. Interment, Mount Michael in Elkhorn, NE. The family has asked that Memorials be sent to: the Nate LaFave Memorial Fund at Mount Michael High School and Abbey.
