DIETRICH, Nathan “Nate” 7/15/1989 – 2/3/2022 Nathan Dietrich, 32, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away unexpectedly on February 3, 2022. Nathan was born on July 15, 1989, in Omaha, Nebraska. He attended Omaha Christian Academy and Trinity Christian School.After graduating from Millard North High School in 2008 he attended Metro Community College and studied automotive technology. He worked at various car dealerships becoming an ASE certified mechanic, but found he enjoyed the freedom of working outdoors and having a variety of responsibilities that came along with working at Heartland Farms horse ranch. Nathan moved to Omaha from Grand Island at the age of 4. During his youth, Nathan could be found climbing to the top of a streetlamp, playing in the river, skateboarding with friends, or building projects with his neighborhood friends. He was never one to sit still and was always looking for adventure. He liked to talk about the time he went wakeboarding with alligators. Nathan was a talented artist and enjoyed drawing and painting models during his teen years. He also loved music, playing guitar and banjo, and attending concerts all over the country, especially the Grateful Dead. He had a great group of friends to enjoy these past times with throughout the years. Nathan married Megan Stevenson in June 2010.As a young adult, Nathan developed a love for travelling and put many miles in crossing the country to camp, hike, and explore- always with his two four legged constant companions, Iko and Isis. He spent time living in North Carolina, Colorado, and California. Nathan was an excellent cook and would create meals to celebrate holidays and family birthdays. Nathan enjoyed reading and was always ready to dive into a deep discussion about whatever book he had recently picked up. Nathan is survived by his parents, William and Esther Dietrich of Omaha, Nebraska; his sister Claire (Brad) Kosmicki, one niece, Elizabeth, and two nephews, William and Grant all of Pocatello, Idaho. Also special friend, Staci and family, and a host of other family and friends.We love you Nathan.
